WIP Dark Eldar

Updating my 14 year old Dark Eldar collection is on a slow but steady pace.

In total I have done 3 Raiders and 3 Ravagers.  They are of similar paint schemes that I did back in '98, but with much more highlighting.  The vehicles themselves went rather quickly, it is painting the crew members that I have taken me more time.

I painted this Wyche along with 9 others back when GW re-released the Wyche models in a new 10 man package.  Not sure why I bought the box seeing as at the time I hadn't played the army in years, but I am glad that I did.  I am not a fan of the new Wyche model and with a bit of updating paint scheme and style wise these are very serviceable miniatures.

An OOP Archon and Urien Rakarth.  I was always a fan of the Urien model and always hated the Archon model.  I thought a more modern painting style would make him look better.  I think it does, but it's still a rather crappy model.  Whereas Urien still looks cool after 14 years.

Along with the 4 Venoms I purchased a box of Kabalites mainly to make Blaster equipped Trueborn.  I really like these new models.  They are a much better model than the old Dark Eldar Warriors.
I wanted my 3 Trueborn units to all look distinct.  One of them are new style Kabalites, another is old style warriors, and the third are old style Incubi with Blaster/Shredder models.  This still needs some work seeing as the old model had a rather bulky helmet and this with have just a plain head.  Most likely I will take some greenstuff and make a high collar so it doesn't look so odd.
